We all know that purchasing a new home is a significant milestone for most people. It is one of the, if not the largest, purchases one will make during one's lifetime. A home is the center hub for all things for people. You will create memories, gather with friends and family, and decorate galore.
When someone purchases a home, and you get an invitation to celebrate their accomplishment, I get excited. My mind is filled with gift ideas that I can choose to fit that person's needs. Some gifts will work every time, no matter who the person is.
I have created my top 5 budgeted gift ideas to please the new homeowner.

A fresh set of sheets can make all the difference when relaxing in your bedroom. When someone moves, it is exhausting, and there's nothing better than climbing into bed with a new set of soft, crisp sheets on the bed at the end of a long day of work. I look for breathable fabrics like cotton or linen in a soothing, neutral tone. Do be aware that not everyone likes white sheets, though.

A cozy throw blanket will make any day cozy. When the day is done, sitting on the sofa wrapped in a blanket is just the hug anyone can appreciate. Something soft keeps it neutral so it can easily fit into another space seamlessly.

This one is one of my favorites to give and receive; nothing like plush bath towels. Stepping out of the shower or bath and wrapping yourself in a thick flurry bath towel is one for the books. They can also be face/bath towels that are soft to the touch, with just enough texture to get the suds moving and softness needed for the skin. A set of high-quality, absorbent towels instantly makes the bathroom feel like an experience. Roll them up neatly and tie them with a ribbon for a beautiful presentation when gifting them.

I know this is similar to the last one, but in another space, how about those kitchen towels? This is a gift that works because it is an everyday essential for the kitchen that people don't always think to buy for themselves. Practical and pretty, it can work for any kitchen style; keep it neutral when gifting.

Last but not least is a candle. You don't have to burn them under a warmer and enjoy the aromatic scent they can exude in your home. A high-quality candle with a clean, inviting scent can instantly make a space feel like home. Candles add that touch of warmth and coziness with the flicker of the wick's flame. I love giving candles, especially since I am a candlemaker. I love fresh scents like vanilla, which work well when cooking to offset some smell, linen for that clean scent, or maybe spice for the energizing aroma to fill the room.
When choosing a housewarming gift, ask yourself, "Is this something that would excite me to receive?" If the answer is yes, then you will know that the gift is a winner. Keep it practical and beautiful with function; you will not miss these simple ideas.
