  1. Comfort and Safety : I recently posted on a Instagram post about home should feel safe or least my home feels like my safe place. Home is where you should feel secure like when you were a child. Where you can let your guard down and truly be yourself. I have managed to assertain this concept through the years with my dwelling places. It's not about the walls but the sense of peace and belonging inside them.

  2. The Memories and Experiences you share: A house is just a stucture, but the love, the joys and laughter with the memories and moments shared within its wall create the feeling of home. It's about the people and experiences that fill the space. I have so many wonderful memories of my children as they grew through the years. I now take them to whatever space i dwell in. I had to overcome some sadness surrounding this very thing when I sold my last home. I quickly learned and still adjusting to carrying those memories while creating new ones in my new space.

  3. Personal Connection: Home is where you first experience and feel personal connections with people. It is personal to yourself, to loved ones and even to God. It is a place where your spirit finds rest and renewal on the daily.

  4. A reflection of You: The way you decorate and design, all the scents that fill the home, the sounds that heard in the spaces even down to the lighting all create a mood and atmosphere that feels like you. Home is a place that is deeply personal and should be a personal experience not a one size and color fits all. This place with experiences is shaped by what makes you feel good.

  5. Love and Acceptance: No matter how far you travel, home is the ultimately where you feel loved, at peace and accepted. Home is not necessarily a loation, it's about the people and emotions that make a space truly yours.

So at the end of the day, it's just four walls and a roof a box. It's warmth in your heart and the peace in your soul the actual love that fills the space done with intentionality. So whether you are settling into a new place like I am or remembering on the moments that made a house feel like home, my desire for you is that your remember that it's not about the address or how large your space may be; it's about the feeling.

You carry it wherever you go.
